Australian allrounder Daniel Sams has joined the Delhi Capitals for the much-awaited 13th edition of Indian Premier League, starting next month.
The 27-year-old replaces the Englishman Jason Roy, who has opted out of the mega-rich tournament due to personal reasons.
Sams was named Player of the Tournament in Australia’s domestic Twenty20 cricket competition BBL, last season, after picking up a season record 30 wickets at an average of 15.36 in 17 games.
The left-arm seamer has taken a club record 45 wickets over the two seasons with Sydney Thunder.
IPL 2020 will get underway from September 19, across three venues in the UAE namely Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
