Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is reportedly the subject of interest from Manchester City, according to the Daily Mail.
City boss Pep Guardiola is seeking fresh legs to strengthen his aging midfield, with David Silva, Fernandinho and Yaya Toure all in their thirties.
The report suggests that Guardiola seeks a reunion with his compatriot Thiago, worked with the Spaniard in the past for both Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old is currently under contract at Bayern until 2021 and was part of the club that reached the Champions League semi-finals last week.
It would take a hefty amount to convince the German champions to sell Thiago, even though the midfielder has made just 10 league starts this season.
