Bayern Munich have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Timo Werner from Chelsea.
The 25-year-old scored 12 goals and registered 15 assists in his debut season for the Blues. However, the German international found himself surplus to requirements at Stanford Bridge.
He is reportedly assessing his options ahead of the January transfer window, and Football Insider claims that the frontman could return to Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich are long-term admirers of Werner, and they could look to land his signature as early as the winter transfer window.
It remains unclear whether manager Thomas Tuchel will sanction the mid-season departure of the 25-year-old forward, who is under contract with the Blues until 2025.
