Aston Villa are ready to pounce for the Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sorloth by making a £15m bid as they look to revamp their attack this summer.
The Norwegian is currently on loan at the Süper Lig outfit Trabzonspor after failing to make an impact at Selhurst Park Stadium following his arrival from FC Midtjylland in 2018.
According to Turkish publication Aksam, Aston Villa sent scouts to watch the 24-year-old striker, who is currently the league top scorer with 16 goals in 20 appearances.
It’s believed that Villa were impressed that they’re now focusing on Sorloth ahead of Muriqi at the end of the season.
The Midlands outfit have been short on goalscorers after Wesley Moraes picked up a serious knee injury during the 2-1 New Year’s Day win at Burnley and Jonathan Kodjia was sold to Al-Gharafa SC in the Qatar Stars League.
