Sebastian Rudy has joined Schalke 04 from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
The Germany international joins the Royal Blues for a reported fee of £14.5m until 30th June 2022.
The 28-year-old midfielder has made 25 appearances for the Bavarians in the German top flight last term and a further five in the Champions League, but the arrival of Leon Goretzka from Schalke pushed Rudy further down the pecking order.

The playmaker said: “I’m convinced of the way the club wants to go and would like to be a part of it. And I’m really looking forward to the fans and the atmosphere at Schalke.”
Rudy will wear the number 13 jersey for the Royal Blues.
