Chelsea full-back Marcos Alonso is reportedly the subject of interest from Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese boss is understood to be in the summer transfer market for defensive reinforcements after the likes of Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind failed to hold down a starting role.
Young, 27, has drawn plenty of admiration for his performances, and Mourinho is keen on to find a new specialist in that position ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
According to reports in Spain suggest that the Red Devils manager is looking to raid his former club Chelsea for the 27-year-old Spaniard, giving the green light for a £70m approach this summer.
Alonso has established himself as one of the best leading full-backs in Premier League having scored six times in each of his two top-flight seasons since joining the Blues.
However, the west Londoners are reluctant to lose Alonso to a direct rival.
