Arsenal have allegedly earmarked Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart as their top summer transfer targets.
Arsenal’s No1 Bernd Leno was forced off on a stretcher in the club’s 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday following a collision with Neal Maupay.
Leno’s injury leaves Emiliano Martinez and Matt Macey as the Gunners’ options between the sticks, and there are fears among the north London camp that the German could be out of action until 2021.
The Express reports that the Gunners are closely monitoring the rise of Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart, following the news that the club elected not to extend his deal at Turf Moor beyond June 30.
The north Londoners are set to be severely financially-restricted heading into the transfer market, and the report suggests that the 33-year-old England international would represent an ideal free signing for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Hart has not made a single Premier League appearance for the Clarets this campaign.
