West Ham United lining up £40m Patrik Schick move?

West Ham United have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick in January.

The Czech Republic international has been impressive in front of goal by scoring 16 times in just 14 top flight appearances this term.

According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham United have identified Schick as one of their prime targets and they are now weighing up a £40m offer in order to sign him in the winter window.

West Ham manager David Moyes is intent on signing a new centre-forward to provide more competition for Michail Antonio.

The Hammers could face fierce competition from Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City to sign Schick, who is contracted to Leverkusen until June 2025.

Schick could become the fourth Czech to join the East Londoners should he leave Bayer Leverkusen, with Tomas Soucek, Vladimir Coufal and loanee Alex Kral already plying their trade with the Hammers.
