Tottenham Hotspur to battle PSG for Barcelona’s Emerson
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to do battle with the French champions Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Barcelona defender Emerson.
The Brazilian has spent the past two seasons at Real Betis and has become an integral part of their squad – scoring once and providing four assists in 26 La Liga appearances this term.
The 22-year-old is due to return to Camp Nou this summer.
PSG and Arsenal have both been linked with a swoop for the South American, but according to Estadio Deportivo, Spurs are also keeping close tabs given the uncertainty surrounding both Serge Aurier and Matt Doherty.
The report goes on to claim that Betis do not have enough funds to sign Emerson permanently.
Emerson has not made a single appearance for Barca since his arrival from Atletico Mineiro in 2019.
