Chelsea to beat PSG for 17-year-old midfielder?
Chelsea are reportedly set to pip Paris Saint-Germain and other top European clubs to the signature of Saint-Etienne youngster Lucas Gourna-Douath.
The 17-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a terrific breakthrough season under Claude Puel this term, clocking up 25 appearances in the French top-flight.
The teenager has earned plenty of plaudits for his performances, and with Saint-Etienne needing to raise funds for new owners, the player could be on the market this summer.
According to Goal, Gourna-Douath could join the Premier League, and Chelsea are weighing up a move for him for a fee of €25m this summer.
However, the report goes on to claim that AC Milan and RB Leipzig are also keeping tabs on the starlet, who has made four appearances for the France Under-17 team.
Gourna-Douath has a deal with Saint-Etienne until the end of the 2022-23 season.
