Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar as a potential summer addition.
The former France Under-21 international is seemingly viewed as a leading target for the Gunners, but the Premier League giants are struggling to come to an agreement with Les Gones over a transfer fee.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas recently confirmed that Arsenal had made a “timid” offer for the 22-year-old midfielder, which was quickly rejected.
The North London outfit are believed to be desperately attempting to offload players in order to raise the funds required to sign the Frenchman, but according to L’Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as rumoured suitors for the playmaker.
The report adds that PSG are in negotiations over a potential deal for Aouar, who will see his contract expire at the end of June 2023.
