Chelsea are hoping to rekindle their interest West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice in the January transfer window.
The Blues are reportedly planning to make a fresh move for the England international, who who is contracted to West Ham until 2025.
Frank Lampard’s side are believed to have missed out on the 21-year-old midfielder in the summer as they struggled to raise the £60m fee that the Hammers are after.
However, The Athletic says that Chelsea remain interested in signing the youngster and are willing to match West Ham’s asking price.
Chelsea have spent a whopping £220m this calendar year on seven new recruits, including the likes of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz.
Rice has made all seven Premier League appearances so far this season.
