Chelsea FC have reportedly identified Inter Milan forward Gabriel Barbosa as their top transfer target over the January window, according to The Daily Express.
The 23-year-old has just ended a loan spell at Flamengo and he has returned to his parent club Inter Milan.
The report adds, the Blues could seal the deal by waiving a fee to let Olivier Giroud join Inter as part of the same transfer.
It is claimed that Inter manager Antonio Conte is keen to have the Frenchman in his ranks for the second part of the season.
The report goes on to claim that Gabriel Barbosa first caught the eye of Chelsea boss Frank Lampard when he scored twice in the Copa Libertadores final earlier this season.
During his loan spell with Flamengo, the Brazilian midfielder has contributed 25 goals and 8 assists in 29 league games.
