Virat Kohli named International batsman and cricketer of the year

India captain Virat Kohli has won the International Cricketer and Batsman of the Year awards 2019.

The 30-year-old, who is regarded as one of the best batsmen of his times, will be leading the national side in the upcoming ICC World Cup, which starts May 30 in England.

The 25-year-old right-arm seamer Jasprit Bumrah, who made a mark for IPL franchise Mumbai Indians, bagged the International Bowler of the Year award.

Kohli scored 1,322 runs in 13 Tests at an average of 55.08 with five centuries. And also, in 14 ODIs, the captain smashed 1202 runs at an astonishing average of 133.55 with six impressive centuries.
