Tottenham Hotspur are ready to hijack William Saliba’s move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to French media outlet RMC, as quoted by The Daily Star.
Spurs are interested in Saint-Etienne defender William Salba despite Arsenal initially leading the race to sign the 18-year-old defender.
The report adds, the Gunners are still in negotiations with the Ligue 1 outfit over a fee for the Frenchman.
The report adds that Saint-Etienne want around £20m for the teenager this summer and will look to ask for the centre-half to be loaned back to the French club for the 2019-20 season if they do decide to sell their star player.
Saliba racked up 16 appearances for Saint-Etienne in the French top flight.
