Arsenal are ready to pounce for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney by making an £18m bid, according to The Telegraph.
The Gunners are prepared to return with an improved offer of £18million after the Hoops rejected Arsenal’s opening bid of £15m for the 22-year-old defender.
The report adds that the north Londoners are hoping that the additional £3m will tempt the Scottish outfit into parting company with the left-back.
The Hoops could prove to be stubborn negotiators but the Premier League giants are still confident a deal can be materialised with the Scottish Premier League champions.
The report goes on to claim Arsenal manager Unai Emery is eager to add the Scotland international to his defensive options ahead of the new Premier League season.
Tierney racked up 38 appearances across all competitions in the 2018-19 season.
