Tottenham Hotspur interested in Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard?
Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard is reportedly the subject of interest from Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur.
The north London club are currently well-stocked for centre-backs, with Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Juan Foyth and Eric Dier all capable of performing well in the position.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen on strengthening the defensive options this summer, with the future of Toby Alderweireld among others looks uncertain.
However, according to German newspaper Bild, Spurs have started to scout the France international Pavard, who has starred for Stuttgart in the top two tiers of Bundesliga over the past one and a half years.
Pavard has racked up 48 appearances since signing from Lille in 2016, while the 21-year-old defender has already earned two caps for France.
Pavard’s contract does not expire until 2021 and could cost somewhere in the region of £11m.
