Man United sign Matej Kovar from FC Slovacko

The Premier League giants Manchester United have confirmed the signing of teenage goalkeeper Matej Kovar from FC Slovacko.

The 17-year-old is believed to have spent a week training with the United academy in the latter stages of 2017, and has now signed a professional contract with the Red Devils.

The youngster is also understood to have previously spent time on trial at West Ham United before signing an official deal at Old Trafford.

“The 17-year-old is a talented young goalkeeper who has already appeared for Czech Republic’s U18s on two occasions, highlighting his promising pedigree and excellent potential,” read a statement on United’s official website.

Kovar is likely to represent United’s Under-18 squad, who are currently leading the Northern division.
