Former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson has been named as the Kings XI Punjab coach for the upcoming 2019 season of the Indian Premier League.
The 44-year-old, who stepped down from his full-time coaching role with Black Caps in June, replaces Australian Brad Hodge, and is set to sign a two-year contract with the Kings Eleven Punjab.

Hesson joins fellow New Zealanders Daniel Vettori and Stephen Fleming in coaching a franchise in the mega-rich Indian Premier League.
Under Hesson’s coaching career, New Zealand became a dominant Test team and also made the ODI World Cup final in 2015.
The Kings XI Punjab have never won the title.
