IPL 2017: Glenn Maxwell to lead Kings XI Punjab
Australia’s Glenn Maxwell has been named the new captain of the Kings XI Punjab in the 10th edition of Indian Premier League.
The all-rounder becomes the third Australian to skipper in the mega-rich T20 competition this season, with Steve Smith will lead the Rising Pune Supergiants and David Warner will command the reins of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Maxwell, 28, will replace Murali Vijay, who led the franchise in the IPL 9.
With fireworks in his batting, bowling & fielding it’s time to unleash the Captain in him.

The Kings XI Punjab bought Maxwell for $1m in 2013 and will be hoping he can prove his captaincy to silverware this year.
Maxwell will share the dressing room with fellow countrymen Shaun Marsh and Marcus Stoinis this season.
