NFL extends Wembley deal until 2020

The NFL has announced that it has extended its deal to play at least two regular-season games at London’s Wembley stadium until 2020.

The agreement also includes an option to extend it by a additional five years until 2025.

Three games will be held at London’s Wembley stadium this year, including the Jacksonville Jaguars’ meeting with Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, NFL chief Mark Waller said: “This new agreement extends a very successful, long-term relationship.”

“It is very exciting to be making this announcement in the same week that we will reach one million fans for the International Series in London.”

Earlier this year, the NFL secured a 10-year deal to also play at least two games in a year at Tottenham Hotspur’s new White Hart Lane, scheduled to open in 2018.
