Liverpool have emerged as rumoured suitors for Thomas Lemar as a top target in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mirror.
The Reds are keen to try and sign the France international as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho and could make it happen this month.
Lemar, 22, who has been in decent form for AS Monaco this season, has scored twice and provided four assists in 13 Ligue 1 appearances for the French champions.
The Merseyside giants are believed to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements after they reluctantly agreed to sell Coutinho to La Liga giants Barcelona in a deal reported to be worth £145m.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has identified the Frenchman as his number one target to replace Coutinho at Anfield.
However, Monaco have made it clear that they do not want to sell Lemar in January, but the Premier League giants are poised to test their resolve given any sort of encouragement.
