Manchester City have emerged as rumoured suitors for Real Madrid midfielder Isco and feel that the 25-year-old can be persuaded to move to the Premier League.
The Spain international has not always been considered as the first choice at the Bernabeu, but he has recently emerged as one of Los Blancos’ key men and put pen to a paper on a long-term contract last month.
However, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, the Citizens remain confident that they can get the signature of the former Malaga man at some point in the near future.
It is understood that the Premier League leaders would be unable to meet Isco’s release clause, but there is currently a belief that the signing of the player can be completed while Pep Guardiola still remains the head coach at the Etihad Stadium.
Isco has established himself as one of the Madrid’s best performers in La Liga, scoring three times and registered three assists in 10 appearances.
