The 26-year-old has long been linked with a move to the Gunners but it would appear that a deal is now close in on a conclusion as the FA Cup champions look to tie up their second signing of the summer.
The forward was thought to be moving to La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid this summer but the Spanish club have been banned from signing any new players until next year January.
Lacazette has established himself as one of Europe’s top strikers in past few seasons, with the attacker having scored 28 times and registered three assists last term.
Arsenal have so far secured the signature of left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke as Wenger prepares his team for the 2017-18 season.
