Premier League giants Manchester United are ready to push talks regarding contract-extension negotiations with the midfielder Juan Mata, according to The Sun.
After seeing Mata’s impressive start to the 2016-17 season, the Red Devils are all set to reward the 28-year-old playmaker, who has remained consistent throughout the season under Jose Mourinho.
Mata is already tied to the United until the summer of 2018 and was initially expected to negotiate new terms at the end of the current campaign.
Earlier, it was suggested that the Spaniard would be moved out of Old Trafford once Mourinho took the reins at the club, but now the former Chelsea midfielder has become a crucial figure, scoring five goals in 18 fixtures so far.
