Man United join race to sign Eduard Spertsyan

Manchester United have set their sights on Krasnodar star Eduard Spertsyan, joining a growing list of European heavyweights chasing the Armenian playmaker.

According to Tutto Atalanta, the Red Devils are showing strong interest in the 25-year-old attacking midfielder, who enjoyed a standout season in the Russian Premier League. With 11 goals and 7 assists in 28 appearances, Spertsyan played a pivotal role in guiding Krasnodar to the league title – a feat that has catapulted him onto the radar of clubs like Atalanta, Ajax, PSG, and Brentford.

From Krasnodar Prodigy to Europe’s Hot Prospect

Spertsyan has been a one-club man so far, rising through the ranks at Krasnodar after joining their academy as a youngster. Since breaking into the first team in 2021, he’s evolved into a key creative force, typically operating as a No. 10 but also showing versatility on the flanks.

Now entering the final year of his contract, his future is up in the air. Krasnodar are reportedly seeking around €25 million for their prized asset – a fee that could complicate negotiations, especially with multiple clubs circling.

United’s Midfield Reinforcements Incoming?

With Bruno Fernandes often carrying the creative load, United are eyeing Spertsyan as a player who could offer both depth and dynamism in advanced midfield roles. His set-piece prowess and eye for goal would be valuable additions to Ruben Amorim’s squad, particularly as United aim to rebuild under the Portuguese boss.

Although Ajax are believed to hold a mysterious edge in the race, United remain attentive and could swoop in with a formal offer soon. The coming weeks will be crucial – can the Red Devils win the battle for one of Eastern Europe’s most exciting talents?
