Man United contemplates Harry Kane Transfer amidst Tottenham’s Decision Dilemma

Manchester United are reconsidering their pursuit of Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Guardian.

The Red Devils have been interested in the 29-year-old striker for some time and had made him their top priority in the summer transfer window. However, due to various reasons, they had to abandon their pursuit of the Englishman.

Recent developments in the Tottenham Hotspur camp have sparked new interest from Manchester United in signing Kane, who scored an impressive 32 goals last season.

The 20-time English champions have already secured the signings of Mason Mount and Andre Onana during the ongoing transfer window, addressing their goalkeeping and midfield needs. Now, their focus is on acquiring a new number nine.

Manchester United was actively trying to secure Kane’s services, engaging in discussions with Tottenham. However, negotiations with Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy proved difficult, and he was unwilling to sell to a rival club, leading United to shift their attention elsewhere, particularly towards Atalanta’s Rasmus Højlund.

Nevertheless, Manchester United are now contemplating reigniting their pursuit of Kane due to an interesting development at Tottenham. The club’s majority owner, Joe Lewis, has informed Levy that Kane’s future must be resolved during this window.

Tottenham are faced with the dilemma of convincing Kane to sign a new lucrative contract or selling him to the highest bidder, with a reported fee of approximately £100 million.

While Manchester United might not have an issue with the transfer fee, they could struggle to meet Kane’s wage demands of £30 million per year due to their new wage structure.
