Manchester United have reportedly joined the list of clubs wanting to sign Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma, according to The Sun.
The Japan international has emerged as one of the star players of the season since his returned to the Amex Stadium.
Mitoma has scored six goals and registered three assists in 13 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League. The attacker has also scored two more goals in the FA Cup, where the Seagulls have made it to the semi-finals, in addition to competing for European qualification through the top flight.
Brighton may keep the 25-year-old winger until his contract expires in 2024, but they are aware that his peak transfer value could be this summer.
Reports suggest that Arsenal, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are all monitoring his situation, and Manchester United have also sent scouts to assess him during Brighton fixtures.
The 20-time English champions are considering Mitoma as a potential addition to their squad. Rashford could move to a central position, and Garnacho is not yet ready to start senior matches regularly.
Mitoma has just over two years left on his contract.
