Liverpool have reportedly joined the list of clubs wanting to sign Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to The Mirror.
The England international managed to appear in 23 matches for the Whites in the 2021-22 season, with his performances catching the eye of a number of English clubs.
A recent report suggested that Chelsea had expressed an interest in the playmaker, alongside the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United who have also been credited with an interest.
However, Liverpool are also set to rival their league clubs for the 26-year-old’s signature.
The report adds that the Merseyside outfit are expected to miss out on their primary target Aurelien Tchouameni, which has forced the club into other options.
Phillips is likely to cost somewhere in the region of £60m, and Liverpool know they face strong competition for the Englishman.
Phillips has scored 14 goals in 234 appearances for Leeds United.
