Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has committed his long-term future to the club after signing a new five-year contract that promises to keep him at the Stamford Bridge until 2024.
The England Under-21 international has yet to make his debut for the Blues’ first team but impressed for Championship outfit Derby during the last season, scoring 11 times in 44 appearances in all competitions.

“It’s a massively proud moment for myself and my family,” Mount told the club’s website.
“I joined this club at six years old and it was always my goal to play for the first team one day.
“I’m really looking forward to the coming season now and working hard to have an impact here at Chelsea.
“I’ve been at the club for a long time already and hopefully I’ll stay for a long time to come.”
With a transfer ban looming over the west London outfit, Mount’s new deal suggests he has a role to play under Lampard next term.
Chelsea to start their Premier League 2019-20 campaign against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Aug. 11.
