Liverpool target Palmeiras winger Allan
Liverpool are reportedly in talks to sign Brazilian winger Allan from Palmeiras, according to transfer insider Ekrem Konur — and it’s another reminder of just how reliably the São Paulo giants produce elite talent.
Palmeiras: Europe’s Favourite Talent Factory
Palmeiras have become one of world football’s most fertile academies. Gabriel Jesus kickstarted the pipeline when he joined Manchester City in 2016, and more recently, Endrick and Estêvão Willian sent European clubs into a frenzy before landing at Real Madrid and Chelsea respectively. Allan looks to be the next name off the production line.

What We Know About the Allan Deal
The 21-year-old has featured in 65 games for Palmeiras since his debut in January 2025, establishing himself as a key figure under Abel Ferreira on the right wing. Konur claims Liverpool — the defending Premier League champions — are now in active talks, with Palmeiras holding firm on a £26m asking price. Napoli are also said to be circling.
The Case For and Against
Allan’s dribbling numbers are genuinely impressive — 2.5 completed dribbles per 90 minutes tells you he’s electric in tight spaces with a solid 1v1 success rate. Arne Slot would love that profile.
But here’s my concern: just five goals in 64 appearances for a wide forward simply isn’t good enough at this level. He’s raw, and Liverpool can’t afford a lengthy development project when silverware is the expectation every season.
The Verdict
Liverpool should perhaps look at more proven alternatives like Yan Diomande, who offers greater output and readiness. Allan has the ceiling — but right now, the floor looks worryingly low.
