Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a move for 28-year-old Spanish midfielder Fabián Ruiz in the 2025 summer transfer window, according to Defensa Central.
Ruiz, currently with Paris Saint-Germain, has been a dependable force throughout his career, starting at Real Betis before flourishing at Napoli, where his stock rose significantly.
In 2022, he joined PSG, where his performances have been inconsistent, but he has made 74 appearances, scoring six goals and providing ten assists.
The Spaniard’s role in Spain’s UEFA Euro 2024 triumph has further enhanced his reputation, catching the attention of Real Madrid. With Toni Kroos retired and Luka Modric nearing the end of his career, Carlo Ancelotti reportedly views Ruiz as a key target to rejuvenate Los Blancos’ midfield.
Though Real Madrid are keen, PSG won’t let Ruiz go cheaply, given that he still has nearly three years left on his contract. The summer of 2025 could see Ancelotti finally land the Spanish international he has long admired.
