Manchester City’s transfer radar has shifted toward Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso, with the club reportedly keen on investing heavily should the Italian giants entertain offers. As per Tutto Juve, Pep Guardiola sees Cambiaso as an ideal full-back option due to his ability to excel on both flanks, a quality highly valued in City’s tactical framework.
At 24, Cambiaso has impressed in Serie A with his versatility, playing as both a full-back and winger. Guardiola, known for his meticulous selection of players, appears drawn to Cambiaso’s adaptability and impact in multiple roles. City’s pursuit of versatile full-backs is evident, with names like Rayan Ait-Nouri, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong also under consideration.
While Manchester City have already secured a left-sided player in Josko Gvardiol, there’s a growing need for a right-back, especially with Kyle Walker’s underwhelming season. Although Trent Alexander-Arnold has been linked, Cambiaso’s dual-sided capability makes him a unique prospect.
However, Juventus are reluctant to sell, having tied Cambiaso to a long-term deal until 2029. Unless City present a compelling offer, Juventus seem determined to retain the Italian as a cornerstone of their future plans. With Real Madrid also monitoring Cambiaso, his future will be one to watch.
