Chelsea initiates talks with Villarreal for Filip Jorgensen

Chelsea are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping options with a €20 million bid for Villarreal’s Filip Jorgensen, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Blues’ current goalkeeping lineup includes Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is set to leave and Petrovic’s distribution skills under scrutiny.

The West Londoners are keen to bring in the Villarreal keeper Jorgensen, who has reportedly agreed to the move, is noted for his ball-handling skills and made the most saves in La Liga last season.

Sanchez is expected to be the first-choice keeper, but Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca wants a reliable backup with strong footwork. Besides Jorgensen, Chelsea are also in the market for a striker and a right winger as they prepare for the new league campaign.
