Wolves prioritise Ansu Fati swoop?
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly among a few clubs looking to swoop for Barcelona winger Ansu Fati, according to SPORT.
Fati initially made a name for himself at Camp Nou and was considered the successor to Lionel Messi’s throne, showcasing his skills during his teenage years.
Barca head coach Xavi does not see Fati as a regular starter, and the Catalan giants are also facing financial constraints, prompting them to consider cost-cutting measures in the upcoming transfer window.
While Fati has expressed his desire to continue his career at Camp Nou, it is widely reported that the Spanish club are open to selling him. In fact, it has been suggested that his agent, Jorge Mendes, has already informed the club’s officials of potential lucrative offers from the Premier League.
Barcelona could potentially accept an offer of €70m for Fati in the upcoming summer transfer window. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have recently been linked with the Spanish international.
Wolves may join Spurs and the Magpies in making a bid for Fati. Wolves are currently fighting to maintain their position in the Premier League, holding a seven-point lead over the relegation zone with four matches remaining.
