Man United lining up move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby
Reports suggest that Manchester United have entered the race alongside Arsenal to secure the signing of Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby in this summer’s transfer window.
The Gunners had shown interest in the 23-year-old Frenchman back in January but were deterred by the hefty price tag of £85 million placed on his services.
However, Leverkusen have now reduced their asking price to £65 million, but it appears that the North Londoners might face competition in their pursuit of Diaby.
As per The Mail, Manchester United have joined the chase for the versatile French winger, who scored 14 goals and 11 assists for his club during the previous season and is now seeking a new challenge elsewhere.
Leverkusen are also willing to facilitate his sale as they aim to generate funds for new signings in the summer.
Although Man United are yet to initiate any formal negotiations, reports suggest that they might postpone discussions until the ownership takeover situation is resolved.
A decision regarding the club’s ownership is expected in the coming days, with the Glazer family likely to sell the club.
