Man City interested in Alexis Mac Allister?
Manchester City have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
The Citizens recently secured their third consecutive Premier League title and celebrated their victory by lifting the prestigious trophy in front of their loyal supporters at Etihad Stadium.
Alexis Mac Allister, 24, has been performing well for Brighton this season. The Argentine provided the assist for Evan Ferguson’s goal in a 3-1 victory over Southampton, which secured European football for the Seagulls.
According to The Mirror, City are looking to disrupt Liverpool’s efforts to sign Mac Allister this summer, as they aim to strengthen their midfield for the upcoming season.
City boss Pep Guardiola has identified Alexis Mac Allister as an ideal replacement for departing players Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva. It is suggested that both Gundogan and Silva will leave the Sky Blues after their pursuit of a treble this season.
Liverpool are also looking to strengthen their midfield ahead of the next season, especially with players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita departing the club.
