Real Madrid interested in Enzo Fernandez

Real Madrid have reportedly identified Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez as an alternative option if the European champions are unable to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham.

Despite signing Aurelien Tchouameni over the summer, Los Blancos are still keen to strengthen their midfield ahead of next season, with a recent report suggesting that Jude Bellingham is one of their prime targets.

However, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City all are interested in signing the England international, Real Madrid are also looking at possible alternatives.

According to Marca, Los Merengues have identified Fernandez as a potential addition after monitoring his progress.

The 21-year-old has been a regular starter for Benfica this term, recording three goals and five assists in his 23 appearances for the Portuguese giants.

Fernandez has a contract until June 2027, and it remains to be seen whether the Portuguese outfit would be willing to sell the Argentine should Madrid come calling at the end of the season.
