Manchester City lining up move for Paul Pogba on free transfer
Manchester City have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Paul Pogba on a free transfer from Manchester United, according to The Guardian.
The Premier League champions are considering a surprise move to sign the France international on a free transfer at the end of the season when his contract at Old Trafford is set to expire.
The report adds, the 29-year-old would be excited about the prospect of working with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City following his stints under Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford.
He would likely have to accept lower wages than he is currently on at the Red Devils but City would be prepared to offer him a four-year deal with the option of an additional year.
Pogba has scored 39 goals in 226 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United.
