Man United identify Gavi as Paul Pogba replacement
Manchester United have allegedly earmarked Barcelona midfielder Gavi as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba, who is set to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer at the end of June.
The Red Devils will be in the market for at least one new midfielder, especially with Nemanja Matic also preparing to leave the club at the end of his contract.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, United allegedly interested in signing Barcelona’s Gavi as a replacement for Pogba.
Gavi, 17, has made the breakthrough at Camp Nou this term and has been a key player for the Blaugrana, contributing two goals and six assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
Gavi possesses a contract until the end of next June, though, and the Catalan giants are currently finding it difficult to come to an agreement with the teenager over an extension.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have also expressed an interest in the Spaniard over the last few months.
