Leicester City have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Chelsea’s young centre-back Levi Colwill, according to The Daily Mail.
Its believed that the 19-year-old defender has been deemed surplus to requirements under Thomas Tuchel, with the Blues set to sign Nathan Ake and Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.
Chelsea are also said to be interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s Presnel Kimpembe, pushing Colwill further down the pecking order despite the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer.
The teenager enjoyed a successful season-long loan spell with Huddersfield Town last season, which has led to widespread interest from across several English clubs ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Everton were among the favourites to sign Colwill, but the aforementioned report suggests that both Leicester City and Crystal Palace are planning on making their move for the centre-back.
