Juventus lining up move for Aymeric Laporte?
Juventus have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Manchester City centre-back Aymeric Laporte.
The 28-year-old defender has played a significant part in City’s success in recent years, contributing to four Premier League titles and four domestic cup triumphs.
According to Corriere dello Sport via MEN, Laporte wants to play more guaranteed first-team football, something which is uncertain at the Etihad Stadium.
The report adds that Juventus have identified the Spain international as a potential replacement for Giorgio Chiellini, who is set to join Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS.
Man City head coach Pep Guardiola will give no consideration to parting ways with Laporte for less than his valuation, especially to a potential Champions League rival.
The Bianconeri are also in the process of bolstering their options in the midfield areas, with Jorginho and Paul Pogba could make a move to Turin from Chelsea and Manchester United respectively.
Laporte has made a total of 155 appearances in all competitions for Man City.
