Manchester United have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a fruitful 2021/22 campaign for Inter, contributing five goals and seven assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
He arrived at San Siro from PSV Eindhoven last summer, signing a four-year contract with the Italian giants, but his future is currently being called into question, as the club are attempting to reduce their high wage bill.
According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United are interested in signing the Netherlands international, who is open to moving to England to link up with Erik ten Hag.
The report adds that a fee somewhere in the region of €30m is likely to be required to sign the full-back during this summer’s transfer window.
The Dutchman has been capped on 34 occasions by his country and contributed five goals and five assists in 33 Italy’s top flight appearances during the 2021-22 campaign.
The Red Devils are believed to be on the lookout for a new full-back this summer, as Aaron Wan-Bissaka has allegedly fallen down the pecking order at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag.
