Arsenal edged closer to completing the signing of Palmeiras midfielder Danilo after sending scouts to watch him in action a few days ago.
The Gunners had a £21m bid rejected on the deadline day of the summer, as the Brazilian outfit did not want to sell one of their key assets in the middle of their Copa Libertadores campaign.
However, According to the Brazilian outlet Bola VIP reports that Mikel Arteta’s side are on the verge of finalising a deal for the 21-year-old in January.
The reports adds that Palmeiras are willing to let Danilo go with their Copa Libertadores campaign now over.
The north Londoners could be back in the race at the midway point of the campaign, they are confident of opening talks.
