Real Madrid have reportedly accelerated their pursuit of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger as they attempt to secure his signature in the summer.
The Germany international has just six-and-a-half months left to run on his contract.
The Blues have been eager to agree fresh terms with the centre-back for a number of months but have failed to do so.
According to The Guardian, Chelsea hierarchy are torn over whether to meet Rudgier’s demands, believed to be in the region of £200,000 per week.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, are happy to hand the 28-year-old defender a deal.
Rudiger can formally discuss a pre-contract agreement with any foreign club starting next month.
