Aston Villa are reportedly prepared to up their efforts to secure a deal for Werder Bremen midfielder Milot Rashica.
The 24-year-old has made five assists for the Bundesliga outfit this season and his current contract is due to expire next summer, potentially lowering his value in the upcoming transfer market.
Villa have been keeping a close eye on the Kosovo international and had discussions with the German club last summer, but failed to lure him to Villa Park as a price could not be agreed.
Football Insider reports that the Claret and Blue are keen to sign a new winger, and Rashica fits the bill in the club’s preferred 4-2-3-1 formation.
Rashica arrived at the Wohninvest-Weserstadion in 2017 and has since gone on to score 26 goals and make 19 assists in 95 appearances for the club.
