Wolves join race to sign Reims defender Axel Disasi

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Reims centre-back Axel Disasi in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old decedent helped the Ligue 1 outfit put together the best defensive record this term and his performances have caught the eye of top European clubs.

Arsenal were the number one favourites to sign him a few weeks ago but the Gunners have yet to make any official approach amid the coronavirus pandemic.

This has led Wolves the chance to enter the race in the Frenchman’s pursuit and L’Equipe claims that the Midlands outfit have tabled a formal bid worth £13.5m for the centre-back.

Wolves said to be in the market for at least three signings as they are uncertain over the futures of Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore, who have been strongly linked with the moves elsewhere.
