Manchester City have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde.
While Pep Guardiola’s side have been heavily linked with an approach for Kalidou Koulibaly, it remains unclear whether the English giants are prepared to pay in excess of £60m for the 29-year-old Senegalese.
That has left Guardiola to consider alternative options, which has led to Sevilla’s Jules Kounde on his radar.
However, The Daily Mail reports that Manchester City will favour a move for the 21-year-old defender if they decide to drop their interest in Koulibaly.
Kounde played a starring role during his first season at Los Nervionenses, playing a crucial role in his side’s Europa League triumph.
The Frenchman still has four years left to run on his contract at the Andalusian outfit.
