Manchester United reportedly remain undeterred in their efforts to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland when his release clause drops to £68m in 2022.
United were heavily linked with a move for the 20-year-old striker during the January transfer window earlier this year, having seen the youngster scored 28 goals in just 22 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg.
Man Utd manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had previously managed the prolific frontman at Molde too, making the Red Devils one of the favourites to sign him for just £18.2m.
However, the Norway international instead joined the Bundesliga, where he has continued his excellent form with 23 goals in his 26 matches across all competitions so far.
The Athletic claims that Manchester United still retain an interest in the Dortmund ace, but are resigned to waiting until 2022 when the release clause drops in his contract.
The 20-time English champions have also been credited with an interest in Jadon Sancho and are lining up a £176m double deal for the pair in the coming windows.
