Tottenham Hotspur eyeing up summer move for James Maddison

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino ramped up his interest in Leicester City midfielder James Maddison, according to The Mirror.

Spurs are expected to receive a £72m windfall for reaching the Champions League finale, which Pochettino is hoping to revamp into the squad.

The Lilywhites have gone almost 18 months since last signing anyone, but the report suggested that new players will be on their way to north London this summer.

Maddison has made a huge impact in his debut Premier League campaign with the Foxes, earning a call-up to the England squad.

However, the report claims that Leicester are after substantially more money for the England international which could put Tottenham off making a formal offer.
